According to the website beyblades.com, the Beyblade Metal Fusion is a newer series of the Japanese manga series that was written and illustrated by Takao Aoki. It is a series of anime cartoons where a group of kids group together as a team and battle other teams using spinning tops. These spinning tops are believed to be enchanted with magical spirits.
There is line of metal spinning tops that can be purchased along with a battle arena. There are also online games where your child can battle others online. The Beyblade tops were created in 2000 in Japan. The toys themselves were released in conjunction with an animated cartoon series featuring characters that used special spinning tops to battle each other. The toy tops were created to represent the battling tops from the cartoon. The design of the Beyblade Metal Fusion tops includes a metal outer layer covering a series of spin gears and weight disks. Each top in the Beyblade Metal Fusion series contains a symbol that represents the 'powers' and 'strengths' that the beyblade has in the game.

How to Make a Beyblade Blades Spin Faster
Beyblade Blades players construct multi-part plastic and metal tops for duels with other players. These tops, known as Beyblades, spin on surfaces known as Beyblade arenas in an attempt to knock all other Beyblades out of the arena or prevent them from spinning. Many Beyblade designs revolve around being exceptionally stable or slow and powerful. Others require speed and agility to win. Speed-based Beyblades perform best when designed with lightweight parts and launched at the highest spin speeds possible.
1.      Assemble your Beyblade Blades with speed in mind. Use only lightweight parts for the spin gear, weight disk and blade base. Heavier face bolts and attack rings will impart greater stability or more powerful attacks, but they run the risk of slowing down your Beyblade.
2.      Practice with your launcher to attain the maximum launch speeds. Launchers use different mechanisms, ranging from simple pull strings to advanced winders, and it takes practice to use them effectively. Take part in matches with friends and spend some time by yourself working on the technique required for your launcher.
3.      Launch your Beyblade Blades so that it charges down from the upper portions of the Beyblade arena. This adds speed and momentum to your Beyblade before it comes into contact with those of opponents. Try for the highest possible launch point that does not risk your Beyblade going over the arena's edge.
4.      Customize your Beyblade Blades further by removing excess plastic or metal from the pieces. Use a hobby knife to pare away unnecessary material. Children should ask a grown-up for assistance. Bear in mind that many tournaments prohibit Beyblades with parts modified from those sold by Takara-Tomy or Hasbro.
